The 28th annual Artists’ Open House Weekend will once again delight art lovers and creative adventurers over the three days of Columbus Day/Indigenous Peoples Day Weekend!

 

The tour will feature 23 artists at 18 locations throughout Susquehanna County, Pennsylvania, including works by our namesake, Ora Lerman, and a special guest artists, Al Wayman of Creek Road Pottery both hosted at our Soaring Gardens residency.

This self-guided tour features the abundant beauty of our county by artists working in these many media:

  • textile art

  • photography

  • fused glass jewelry

  • paintings in many media and styles

  • sculpture

  • metalworks

  • pottery

  • unique bird houses

  • turned wood

  • charcoal and graphite drawings

  • fine art giclee prints

Timed with the spectacular fall foliage season, the art tour is a wonderful opportunity to travel the county’s back roads and see what makes Susquehanna County so special. We look forward to seeing you!

PAST EVENTS

September 21 &22

​​​​​Montrose Arts Weekend (MAW), held this year in conjunction with the Montrose Borough 200th

Anniversary Celebration, took place throughout historic downtown Montrose from noon to 8pm on Saturday, September 21st and from 10am to 4pm on Sunday, September 22nd.

​

Among the weekend’s highlights:

• The Famous Artists Scavenger Hunt

• En Plein Air Painters

• An exhibit by Slanted Art Cooperative Gallery members in The Reimel Centre

• Live Entertainment: concerts, theater, and dance on The Reimel Centre stage

• Art Classes & Demonstrations

 

The Ora Lerman Charitable Trust was represented over the weekend by board member Josephine M. Dunn and Soaring Gardens residency manager Jordan Oakey.
