Design your own art-making getaway and create in tranquility at Soaring Gardens’ enchanting farmhouse and studios. 

For over twenty years in the spring and summer, Soaring Gardens has been offering concentrated studio time to visual artists, writers, composers, and instrumentalists in the peaceful countryside near Laceyville, Pennsylvania. Now, the Ora Lerman Charitable Trust is making its facilities available for short- or long-term retreats between November and April. Whether you're looking to edit your novel, paint in one of our spacious studios, or compose your next symphony, Soaring Gardens welcomes your creative presence.

 

FARMHOUSE AND STUDIOS

The farmhouse has a living room, dining rooms, kitchen, bathroom, and bedroom on the main floor and four bedrooms, a study, and a bathroom on the second floor. There’s a laundry room in the basement. Thirty feet from the house is a studio building with two 750-square-foot studios on different floors. The farmhouse can accommodate four or five artists depending on the nature of their work. Each studio can be shared by 2 artists or used individually. The farmhouse and studio are both heated. 

Artists shop, cook, and clean up after themselves. The closest market is 30 minutes away.

DETAILS AND RATES

The farmhouse and studios are available for rent between November and April. The house sleeps five, so we can accommodate a variety of creators at any time. As such, renters may be sharing common spaces with each other if we have multiple renters at once. Discounted group rates are available as outlined below. 

Single Renter: $100/night

Two Renters: $180/night

Three Renters: $270/night 

Four Renters: $360/night

Five Renters: $450/night

A discounted rate of $480/person is offered for a 6-day week.
